Overview
The City of Oakley aimed to maintain its 4,000,000 square feet of turf and parks, serving 41,000 residents, by securing a single landscape provider in 2009. The goal was to ensure year-round pristine and well-maintained landscapes for the community.
Challenges
The landscape provider encountered two primary challenges upon taking on the project: outdated irrigation systems causing significant issues across the extensive turf and parks, and the logistical complexity of maintaining such a large area including city-wide streetscapes.
Solutions
Monarch assembled a dedicated team, led by an experienced account manager, to focus on repairing and upgrading the city’s outdated irrigation systems. To maintain consistent quality, the team held regular meetings to review progress and address any issues. Additionally, they implemented advanced routing technologies and optimized scheduling practices to enhance efficiency across the city’s extensive parks, turf areas, and streetscapes.
